Select HOW your troop will participate in this event.
There are three different ways that troops can participate in this event. Be sure to discuss this exciting event with your girls and decide how you wish to participate in this event. Booth Display
Your display should include information, pictures, SWAPS and if possible, items from your country. Country details may include topics such as climate, population, education, and types of scouts. No food will be permitted. Space is limited to 1/2 of a 6 foot table for each country. Each country will only be represented one time. Be sure your girls select their favorite country and some alternates in case that country has already been selected. Register early for the most choices. International Showcase
Performances may be either a song, skit or display fashion representative of their country. Performances must be 3 minutes or less and music must be submitted for review by January 31, 2015. When registering, please indicate which country you are representing. The showcase performances will be from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. After the completion of the showcase, participants will be able to browse the displays and get their passports stamped. Guest
Not sure your girls are ready to perform or even put together a display, but they still want to participate? Perhaps you are a new leader and just want to learn what this special Girl Scout Day is all about? Troops may choose to attend the event as a guest without providing a booth display or performing. The registration fee is still required if your girls wish to receive passports (which they will get stamped at each country booth). Girls are still eligible to receive patches for attending the event. Any patches must still be pre-ordered with the registration. |
