We are in need of more volunteers in the Coastal Connection community #2 to become trainers. Specifically, to train Program Basics. If you are interested in volunteering to become a Council Trainer for Coastal Connection (community #2), please let your membership specialist know (Kim at [email protected], Heather at [email protected] or Jacqui at [email protected])
It is sometimes hard for Independently Registered Girls (formerly known as Juliettes) and girls that are stuck on the waiting list to find ways to stay an active and interested Girl Scout. The Coastal Connection is now offering the perfect opportunity for these girls to meet other scouts and work on a patch at the same time! Each month through January a Service Unit in the community will be hosting an outing that completes one of the patch requirements for the Explore Virignia Beach patch. If girls participate in all of the outings they will complete the patch requirements! Registration is required in advance and some activities do have a small fee.
See the EVENT PAGE for the "Girl Scout Fall Series" for more details and to register. The first activity is on October 26th! Don't miss out, register TODAY! **Please note** This series opportunity is only for Indepentdently Registered Girls or Girl Scouts currently on the wait list. Are you interested in this patch but your scout IS in a troop? Be sure to mention your interest to your scout's troop leader. Individual troops and scouts are welcome to complete this patch on their own. Help the Princess Anne Service Unit celebrate Juliette Gordon Low's birthday by putting together a Birthday Bag for Seton Youth Shelters! Troop 4002 will give out a JGL patch to every scout who participates in this project. Bags will be accepted from October 15th through October 29th on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Lynnhaven Elementary School in the cafeteria. Please see the flyer for more information and contact details. The Courthouse Service Unit is hosting a Family Partnership Skating night October 16, 2013. Please see the basic flyer for more information. There is also a 4-per page flyer that you can print and pass out to scouts. If you have questions please email Deanna Robertson, their Family Partnership chair at [email protected]. The Product Sales Manager, Alexandria Carruth is looking for cookie cupboard volunteers in Virginia Beach.
