Volunteers are needed to help with the Council-wide recruitment event on October 6th at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library in Virginia Beach! Over 40 volunteers are needed in order to make this event a success. Volunteers can be girls (Juniors & up) as well as adults. Volunteer Today!

What volunteers are needed?
Exhibit Assistants (2) - work with council staff to help make sure that community partners/exhibitors are prepared. Tasks include help with set up, audio visual equipment, and any additional assistance needed to help them prepare the day.
Greeters (6) - older GIRLS (Junior and up) should be dressed in uniform/sash and willing to meet and greet at the 2 library entrances.
Floaters (2) - go between the exhibitor room and the recruitment room directing girls and parents between the two rooms and the crafts. Help keep the flow of the program. 2 volunteers needed
Craft Volunteers (20) - work at one of the 5 craft stations between the exhibitor and recruitment rooms. There will be 4 volunteers at each station.
Registrars (4) - assist in the recruitment room, taking registrations, and answering questions. You will not be placing girls at this time.
Adult Recruiters (2) - School Liaisons, New Volunteer Placement Coordinators - be available to talk about experiences and learning opportunities as a Girl Scout volunteer and help registrar to complete registrations if needed. Provide initial guidance to adults who have agreed to be a troop leader and form a troop.
Raffle Table Attendant (2) - describe raffle prizes and accept entries. A drawing is planned every 40 minutes.
"Bring a Friend" Photo Booth Dresser/Picture Taker (2) - help outfit girls to take a picture with their friend. You will work with a council staff member.
Honorary Council Storekeeper (2) - assist the shop manager at the traveling store as needed.
Qualified First Aider (1) - attend the event and provide on-site first aid if required.
